1. Refractive errors:- If your eye is out of focus it could be due to refractive error. This occurs when light rays do not properly focus on the retina. This is a common eye problem which affects a large number of people. Generally, the rays of light are focused on the retina. In the case of refractive errors, they form irregular focus leading to short-sightedness, farsightedness or both. The refractive errors can be treated with the help of spectacles, contact lenses or surgeries. There are some permanent surgical treatments available for the refractive errors such as LASIK, Phakic IOLS or Lens Replacement Surgery.

2. Cataract Diagnosis and Surgery:- Cataract is diagnosed through following procedures.
Visual acuity test :- A visual acuity test uses an eye chart to measure how well you can read a series of letters. Your eyes are tested one at a time, while the other eye is covered. Using a chart or a viewing device with progressively smaller letters, your eye doctor determines if you have 20/20 vision or if your vision shows signs of impairment.
Retinal exam. To prepare for a retinal exam, your eye doctor puts drops in your eyes to open your pupils wide (dilate). This makes it easier to examine the back of your eyes (retina). Using a slit lamp or a special device called an ophthalmoscope; your eye doctor can examine your lens for signs of a cataract.

3. Cataract :- Cataract is clouding of the natural lens of the eyes. It prevents the light from passing through the lens causing loss of vision. Normally, this is due to ageing but in some cases, this is due to various systemic and ocular diseases like diabetes, uveitis, trauma etc. A person diagnosed with cataract can recover vision only after cataract surgery. In the surgery, the cataractous lens is removed and replaced by an artificial intraocular lens. Treatments available are Phaco, MICS, Toric, Multifocal IOL.

4. Glaucoma is an eye condition which damages the optic nerve. This disease if left untreated may lead to permanent loss of vision. It is asymptomatic in an early stage. By the time symptoms develop, major losses have already occurred. This can be diagnosed with equipment such as OCT and Perimeter. Treatments with medications or advance surgery are available for this disease.

5. Squint:-This is a medical condition in which both the eyes do not point in the same direction, i.e. their axes are not parallel. This disorder may affect at any age. Sometimes a child is born with a squint or develops it just after birth. A person diagnosed with squint may get treatment options like eye drops, patches, glasses containing prism or squint surgeries.

6. Diabetic eye diseases:- Diabetic eye problems are those problems which affect the human eye due to long-standing diabetes. These include conditions like diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic macular edema. The doctor recommends various eye tests depending on the condition such as FFA
( Fluorescein Angiography) and OCT. Treatments such as laser and vitrectomy are available for a person diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy.
